This college has produced about 11,000 graduates since its opening and those graduates have contributed to education as teachers, educators, school masters, and professors. This college has a long-term vision of nurturing, "outstanding teachers to lead in the continuing education of the 21st century." To achieve this long-term vision, we have secured advanced facilities, such as multi-media facilities and a teaching and learning support center, and a library with 200 seats which is open 24 hours. Therefore, the employment rate of our students as teachers is the top in our country.

Therefore, we have developed education programs necessary for special education and nurtured competitive intellectuals so that students can acquire profound educational theories and techniques for their occupation and contribute to the construction of a society with good welfare as well as improve national and regional society.
This department aims to nurture responsible and competent teachers who can contribute to national and regional development based on outstanding knowledge in their major in order to achieve the educational objectives and goals of the college. Students are allowed to acquire teaching certificates in other subjects as well as certificates of secondary school teachers in Science(Physics). We have developed various majors and curriculum to nurture specialized professionals and eight professors of the Dept. of Physics as well as other full-time professors are engaged in teaching students.
Students can enter the chemistry education major according to personal desire and academic results via the curriculum in science education. About 20～25 students are admitted to the chemistry major yearly. After students have complete programs in the major subjects designated by the ministry of Education and Human Resources, they are conferred a Grade 2 teacher's certificate in chemistry. 11 faculties teach the subjects contents along with pedagogy, and are engaged in developing the varied curriculum through which students can achieve a special profession in chemistry and the qualification to teach students in school
This department has developed curriculum in the various subjects that make up biology to teach students the basic theories in life science and generate an interest in experimentation and field studies. Students can acquire teaching ability based on their curriculum and the knowledge of how to deal with the teaching materials available.
This department has developed curriculum in the subjects that make up earth science to teach students the basic theories in earth science and generate an interest in experimentation and field studies. Students can acquire a teaching ability based on the curriculum and learn how to deal with the available teaching materials. As well they can gain advanced knowledge in their major.
This department aims to nurture English teachers who can use English fluently with a balanced and advanced level of knowledge in each area of English study and literature. Students will be able to identify problems in English education and develop creative and developmental curriculum models to actively deal with education of society in the 21st century. We have a Sound Library, a satellite communication facility, an audience room, a multi-media system, and provide practical education through native English speaker and field study programs.
Students receive a Grade 2 teacher's certification for secondary school along with a their diploma simultaneously with graduation. Therefore, they can be employed as math teachers at middle or high schools after graduation. They can study other subjects as a sub-major or dual major as well at any of the departments in the College of Education at Chosun University. In particular, a significant number of subjects in the Dept. of Computer Statistics and the Department of Mathematics are recognized as elective majors. We have programs which support other occupations as well as teachers.
This primary goal of this department is to nurture music teachers for secondary schools. Simultaneously with graduation, students receive Grade 2 teachers' certificates for secondary school.We have produced professional and enthusiastic music teachers and musicians in vocal music, piano, and orchestra focusing on nurturing a specialized ability in music and a basic practical ability as music teachers.

The curriculum is designed to nurture elites who can identify problems in educational fields, try to find effective teaching methods and be prepared for a creative and practical education.
This department aims to nurture competent middle and high school teachers needed by this new era based on the educational ideals of Chosun University. Students are allowed to acquire teachers' certificates in others subjects through a dual major system while studying. This department, which was established in 1965, has produced a great number of graduates and they are working as professors, middle and high school teachers, public servants, academy instructors, in public organizations, and in their own businesses. In this department, invited professors from other universities including four full-time professors are involved in teaching students for higher quality education.
This department was newly opened by the approval of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in October 2009. We provide a one-to-one job counselling program to nurture the most competent teachers and educators.
