• 수어 연구를 주도하는 수어 전문가 양성
• 수어 교육 및 교재 개발 전문가 양성
• 수화통역사자격증(한국농아인협회) 등의 국가공인 자격증 취득을 통한 수어의 보급 및 확산에 기여하는 인재 양성
• 한국수어교원자격증(2급, 국립국어원) 취득에 필요한 영역별 교과목 제공하여 한국수어교원을 배출

Main Purposes of the Course are:

• To train sign language experts who will lead the studies of Korean Sign Language (KSL);
• To train experts for developing sign language education and related teaching material;
• To foster talents who are certified by national license, such as the license for sign language interpreter
  (issued by Korea Association of the Deaf), and will attribute introduction and spread of sign language; and
• To train KSL teachers by providing proper curriculum for required areas to get the KSL teacher’s license
  (Level 2, issued by National Institution of Korean Language).

Main Objectives of the Course are:

• To foster researchers in sign language linguistics as well as experts in development of sign language education and teaching material; and
• To foster local talents who will attribute generalization of KSL to the public.
